SOFTSWISS vs EveryMatrix: lock-in, cost and a third option

Published Sep 23, 2026Facts checked: Sep 22, 2026

Short answer

Stay with, or pick, SOFTSWISS if your business is casino-first and content breadth matters: it lists "40,000+ casino games via a single API integration".[1] Pick EveryMatrix if you want casino, sportsbook, player accounts and affiliates as separable modules from one supplier across the "50+ MARKETS" it names.[2] Leave both for an own platform when the revenue share across your markets outgrows the cost of running your own stack, or when your product needs changes in the core. Neither vendor publishes a price list, and both publish enough to compare lock-in.

What each vendor publishes

SOFTSWISS sells a Casino Platform, a Sportsbook, a Game Aggregator and a Prediction Markets platform, states that "1,500+ Brands rely on our ecosystem" and describes "multi-vertical products tailored for high-load operations that can operate independently or as modular ecosystems", with "99.99% product uptime". Its aggregator lists "40,000+ casino games via a single API integration", "300+ game providers" and "100+ payment methods". On certification it states: "ISO 27001 certifies the company's information security. All our software products hold GLI-19 (casino) and GLI-33 (sports) certifications, which require strict responsible gambling, AML, and KYC practices aligned with Tier-1 regulatory standards." The footer reads "Stable Aggregator Limited is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, Critical Gaming Supplies licence number MGA/B2B/942/2022".[1]

EveryMatrix sells its capabilities separately. Its home page names them without brands — Platform as "PAM, wallets, payments and risk", Sports as "Online & retail betting, sports data", Casino as "Management and integration", Affiliate as "Management and intelligence system" — offers "Full omnichannel turnkey or modular delivery across casino and sports betting", states "50+ MARKETS, 400+ CLIENTS" and carries the footer "EveryMatrix Software Limited is licenced and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 39383 and the Malta Gaming Authority, licence number MGA/B2B/201/2011".[2] The same modules have their own branded pages: GamMatrix, OddsMatrix, CasinoEngine, SlotMatrix, PartnerMatrix and PlayMatrix.[3]

Neither publishes a price list. For EveryMatrix, one 2020 agreement has public numbers, and they come from igamingplatformproviders.com's contract ledger rather than from the vendor: "EUR 6,400 monthly operational costs plus EUR 17,500 minimum fees for each product from month 19", "48 months to earliest ordinary termination" and "12 months in one 2020 agreement" for notice. That ledger calls the row "Historical single-customer terms; not the current standard offer".[4] For SOFTSWISS, the same publisher's review records the commercial model as "Custom quote; one-off implementation plus recurring platform, content and service economics", with the setup fee marked "Unresolved".[5]

No SOFTSWISS revenue-share percentage is published. SOFTSWISS does not state one, and the review does not record one either — its advice is to "Budget for setup, recurring platform/revenue share, game-content economics, PSP costs, certification, bespoke frontend, migration and optional managed services".[5] Percentages that appear in directory listings are estimates made by those directories, so none is quoted on this page.

SOFTSWISS vs EveryMatrix vs an own platform

SOFTSWISSEveryMatrixOwn platform
Code and data ownershipVendor software. Per igamingplatformproviders.com, marked there as a verified conclusion: "The operator owns its player database at all times."[5]Vendor software. Per the same publisher: "The operator is the defensible controller and owner of player and operational data; EveryMatrix retains its software and derived-IP rights."[6]Code and data are yours. On amBrain projects: "The client keeps full ownership of the product and the code, except our reusable components."
Cost model"Custom quote; one-off implementation plus recurring platform, content and service economics"; setup fee "Unresolved".[5] No revenue-share percentage is published.Quote-only per module;[7] igamingplatformproviders.com lists "93% of group revenue comes from revenue share" among its red flags, while adding that this "is also not an operator's quoted percentage".[8]Build cost, then run cost. No revenue share.
Time to launchNot published by SOFTSWISS. igamingplatformproviders.com's delivery-time conclusion, marked there as editorial inference: "1–3 months for a full casino turnkey; 2–4 weeks Sportsbook; about 3 weeks Game Aggregator".[5]Not published by EveryMatrix. The same publisher's editorial inference: "6–9 months for complex regulated full stack; days to weeks only for bounded existing integrations".[8]Set by scope and by certification per market.
Lock-in: term, notice, migration"The standard minimum term remains unresolved"; on notice, the review's advice is to "Negotiate a transition period aligned with database export, PSP/content replacement and regulatory notifications".[5]One 2020 agreement on the ledger: "48 months to earliest ordinary termination", 12 months' notice, remaining-term exit liability.[4]Your contract with the builder.
CustomisationProducts "can operate independently or as modular ecosystems"; games through one API.[1]Modules licensed separately; track360: "Modularity at the licensing level is not the same as modularity at the switching-cost level."[7]Core logic in wallet, bonus, risk and sportsbook is yours to change.
Certification and compliance"ISO 27001 certifies the company's information security. All our software products hold GLI-19 (casino) and GLI-33 (sports) certifications."; MGA/B2B/942/2022 held by Stable Aggregator Limited.[1]Gambling Commission account 39383 and MGA/B2B/201/2011, both held by EveryMatrix Software Limited.[2]You certify against GLI-19 Interactive Gaming Systems v3.0, GLI-33 Event Wagering Systems v1.1 or local equivalents.[9] Licensing per market is a question for a licensing lawyer.
Latency and scale"99.99% product uptime" and "1,500+ Brands rely on our ecosystem", both as stated by SOFTSWISS.[1] The review records this as product-specific: "99.99% Casino Platform uptime; Game Aggregator carries a 99.999% SLA."[5]"50+ MARKETS, 400+ CLIENTS"; no uptime figure on the pages checked.[2]Your own targets, measured on your own peak traffic.
Exit costPer igamingplatformproviders.com, marked verified: "The operator owns the player database, and SOFTSWISS must assist transfer to a replacement provider." Formats, cost and timing stay contract-specific.[5]Remaining-term fees in the 2020 agreement on the ledger;[4] "A complete exit package covering credentials, KYC files, AML notes, bonus state, unsettled transactions and transition support is not established."[8]No platform licence to terminate.

Stay on SOFTSWISS or EveryMatrix if…

  1. 1.Your casino needs content breadth more than product difference. SOFTSWISS lists "40,000+ casino games via a single API integration" and "300+ game providers";[1] EveryMatrix sells casino content through SlotMatrix.[3] Rebuilding that breadth is hundreds of integrations before it is a product.
  2. 2.You want several verticals from one supplier. EveryMatrix's capabilities cover player accounts, sportsbook, casino and affiliates,[2] and SOFTSWISS covers casino, sportsbook, aggregation and prediction markets.[1] One contract and one integration surface is a real saving for a small team.
  3. 3.You want the vendor to carry certification. SOFTSWISS states that all its software products hold GLI-19 and GLI-33 certifications;[1] EveryMatrix Software Limited holds Gambling Commission and MGA licences.[2] With an own platform, that testing is your project.

Consider leaving both if…

  1. 1.Symptom: revenue share is your largest line after marketing. igamingplatformproviders.com lists "93% of group revenue comes from revenue share" for EveryMatrix,[8] and records SOFTSWISS as "one-off implementation plus recurring platform, content and service economics".[5] If your share has outgrown what a platform team would cost, the model has stopped fitting.
  2. 2.Symptom: your minimums outlived your volumes. In the 2020 EveryMatrix agreement on the ledger, minimum fees applied per product from month 19.[4] A fixed minimum on a falling or seasonal revenue line is a clear signal to price the alternative.
  3. 3.Symptom: your advantage lives in the wallet, the bonus engine or the risk logic. Both vendors serve many operators from one product line: "1,500+ Brands" and "400+ CLIENTS" by their own counts.[1][2] A difference that nobody else can copy has to live in code you own.

A migration path in four steps

Both vendors have published large incoming migrations, so the mechanics are known. SOFTSWISS reports moving an operator with over one million players and "about a hundred terabytes of information" to its Casino Platform and Sportsbook, with the platform transition itself taking five hours; the article describes "meticulous preparation" but does not quantify it.[10] Intergame reported that EveryMatrix launched "its OddsMatrix sportsbook and turnkey solution, including its casino platform, player management and payments modules" with bet-at-home, and that the German migration followed "the earlier migration in February of players within bet-at-home's MGA-licensed business".[11] Leaving is the same operation in reverse; what changes is who controls the schedule.

  1. 1.Find the dates. Termination dates and notice periods per product. In the 2020 EveryMatrix agreement on the ledger the notice was 12 months,[4] so the decision date comes a year before the exit date.
  2. 2.Agree the data package. Players, balances, KYC files, bonus state, unsettled bets and affiliate history. For SOFTSWISS the review records that the vendor "must assist transfer to a replacement provider";[5] for EveryMatrix, a complete exit package is "not established",[8] so negotiate it.
  3. 3.Build, certify and run in parallel. Replace one product at a time where the contract allows, starting with the one whose minimum or limits cost most, and reconcile balances and settlements daily between old and new.
  4. 4.Cut over by market or brand. Keep a rollback path for an agreed window, and time the last cutover to the contract end date.

Licences and payment accounts, which come before any software move, are covered in moving from a white label to your own platform.

What drives the cost of building your own

These are the drivers, not a price.

SOFTSWISS's own cost calculator puts the whole business case in perspective: it says "it is reasonable to plan for an initial investment starting from EUR 1 million to cover setup and the first year of operations", across pre-launch items (legal entity, licensing, software, website development, marketing) and twelve months of operating costs (ongoing fees, salaries, marketing, payments, bonuses, taxes, bankroll).[12] That is one vendor's estimate for launching a casino business on any platform, not a build price. The platform is one line inside it, and for an own platform that line breaks down as follows:

  • Player accounts and wallet. Ledger, balances, limits and audit trail.
  • Content integrations. Each game provider is a contract and an integration; more on the casino aggregation layer.
  • Sportsbook, if you run one. Odds feed and trading, settlement after big events, risk controls.
  • Payments and KYC per market. One integration and one contract per provider.
  • Certification and licences. Testing against GLI-19 and GLI-33 or local rules.[9] Confirm the specifics for each market with a licensing lawyer.
  • Operations and the migration. On-call cover around the clock, parallel running and reconciliation.

Frequently asked questions

There is no public answer: neither publishes a price list. The public data points are one 2020 EveryMatrix agreement in igamingplatformproviders.com's ledger, with EUR 17,500 minimum fees per product from month 19,[4] and the same publisher's description of SOFTSWISS pricing as "Custom quote; one-off implementation plus recurring platform, content and service economics".[5] Compare quotes on the same terms: share, minimums, notice and exit package.

Per igamingplatformproviders.com, marked there as verified: "SOFTSWISS does not currently sell a genuine white label or bundle a provider sublicense. Turnkey products run under the operator's license; incorporation and banking remain operator responsibilities."[5] SOFTSWISS's own knowledge base explains the white-label model in general terms, putting its upfront investment at "Lower: vendor fees and promotion ~€20,000-60,000+" and its time to market at "Fast, from a few weeks to a few months".[13] Ask SOFTSWISS directly which model it offers for your market.

Both vendors have published large incoming migrations: SOFTSWISS reports a five-hour platform transition for over a million players,[10] and EveryMatrix's bet-at-home migration ran in two stages split by licence.[11] What limits you is the outgoing contract: notice, minimums and the data package.

For SOFTSWISS, igamingplatformproviders.com records as verified that "The operator owns its player database at all times".[5] For EveryMatrix, the same publisher describes the operator as "the defensible controller and owner of player and operational data".[6] Ownership is the start; the export format and completeness are what you negotiate.

SOFTSWISS's calculator says "it is reasonable to plan for an initial investment starting from EUR 1 million to cover setup and the first year of operations".[12] That is one vendor's estimate for the whole business, platform included.
